This work is primarily individual and introspective, it focuses on the individual. Mr. Sperling will work with the man in your relationship and Mrs. Flores-Sperling will work with the woman in your relationship. Our unique approach maximizes the opportunity to gain the necessary insight that will lead to sustained conflict solutions and a healthier relationship.

Charles Sperling is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Behavior and Addiction Management (CBAM) and founder and Executive Director of STAND, Incorporated a non-profit focused on an array of community reentry services.

He holds a Masters Degree in business administration, is a board certified addiction counselor, clinical supervisor, researcher, trainer, mental health professional, and family violence intervention trainer and facilitator.

Mr. Sperling has developed and facilitated a variety of programs which address the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional difficulties experienced by those individuals who are substance users and abusers, or disconnected from their family due to abuse and violence. He maintains reciprocal work relationships with the Georgia Department of Corrections and Pardons and Parole. For his outstanding pioneering work in these areas, Georgia State University and National Louis University have recognized him for his outstanding contribution to the community.

Mr. Sperling is married, with adult children and resides in DeKalb County.

Maria Flores-Sperling works as a substance abuse counselor with the Grady Health System, Ponce Center in Atlanta . She is a board certified addiction counselor, credential by The Georgia Addiction Counselors Association, and a Domestic violence counselor credential by The National Association of Forensic Counselors. Maria is also a registered multiple DUI Clinical Evaluator, by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. She conducts workshops on domestic violence and abuse, and has been featured on television as a guest author on "Writers in Focus," which is broadcast on Fulton County Online - FGTV.

She authored Whose Little Girl Is This, an autobiography about her courageous journey surviving domestic violence.

She is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts (New England) and her parents are from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. She is bilingual (English and Spanish). She has resided in Atlanta, Georgia since 1993. Maria is also a mother of three children, and a grandmother of eight beautiful grandchildren. She earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences and master’s degree in general psychology.
